Your Brand is What People Think Of You

We may not be conscious of it, but every day we are sending out our own personal message. Each of us emitting a story to the people we interact with. What’s your story?

There are 8 key things that go into developing your own personal brand.

1. Confidence, be yourself, speak from your heart and let your passion shine through.

2. Offer Value. Every brand stands for something i.e. Apple = Innovation. What do you offer? What is your value?

3. Build a Destination, a place where people can learn more about you, your personality, and your style. Examples of these may be a website, a facebook account, twitter page, LinkedIn profile. Potential clients, employers and business partners should be able to find and interact with your brand.

4. Speaking/Writing from the heart will fill your life with things you love. Remember your heart is where your passion lives. It gives others the opportunity to learn more about you.

 5. Innovate. The world is full of people who all do very similar things, who offer similar products and have similar responsibilities. The individual who innovates, challenges the status quo, who opts to create a new path is the person who is going to stand out amongst the crowd.

 6. Give Back. We are all connected on this planet and creating positive change benefits everyone. Dogooding creates great return on investment.

7. Grow, if you’re not uncomfortable you’re not growing and if you’re not growing you’re falling behind. Make an effort to do something every month that puts you out of your comfort zone.  

8. Communicate who you are in all you do. Consistency is power. When the various parts of your life reflect your essence, your life moves in the direction you want it to.

What you wear is considered Fashion, what you say and how you say it is a style. Style has substance. Your Style is your brand.
